Original Article

Cover Letter Yes. Include why the work fits AEM E&T, confirmation it is not under review elsewhere, the corresponding author’s details, and a BOLD disclosure of any AI tools used in manuscript preparation.
Title Page Yes. Provide title (<20 words), running title (<50 characters), full author names with highest professional degrees, numbered affiliations and emails, corresponding author, presentation history, funding, and detailed author contributions.
Abstract A structured abstract (Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusions) of no more than 300 words is required. Do not include references, figures, tables, or graphs.
Main Manuscript Headings Follow IMRaD plus specific sections: Introduction; Methods (design, setting, protocol, measures, analysis); Results; Discussion; Limitations; Conclusions. Include References, Tables, and Figures with legends.
Reference Format Use NEJM style with numeric in‑text citations. List all authors up to six; for seven or more list first three followed by “et al.”
Figures Upload figures as separate high‑resolution files (TIFF/EPS/PDF/Excel); prepare to one‑ or two‑column width at ≥300 dpi (≥600 dpi for line art). Provide legends on a separate page. Maximum of 5 tables and 5 figures.
Tables Place each table on a separate page within the manuscript, numbered in order and cited in text. Ensure tables fit within 7.5 inches width and use ≥10‑point font. Maximum of 5 tables and 5 figures.
Additional Documents Upload a separate conflict‑of‑interest disclosure file; include ethics approval/consent details in Methods; consider suggested reviewers (up to three). If resubmitting after another journal’s review, include prior reviews and responses. At revision, provide a first‑author headshot.
Word Count Limit 5,000 words, excluding abstract, tables, figures, references, and supplemental material.
