It provides a global platform for studies across infectious disease prevention and control, nutrition, reproductive and maternal health, sexual and gender-based violence, mental health, non-communicable diseases, health systems, and ethics in conflicts and humanitarian crises, and welcomes quantitative and qualitative studies and perspectives.

Conflict and Health is an invitation-only journal. Submissions are accepted by invitation from the editorial board only. The following article types are accepted:

Research

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must explain why the manuscript should be published, address any journal policy issues, declare potential competing interests, confirm all authors approved the submission, confirm the manuscript has not been published or submitted elsewhere, and name the special issue if applicable.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 350 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must include Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions, and Trial registration.
Manuscript Research articles must not exceed 5000 words. Manuscript should include Background, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, and a Declarations section. Manuscript must include three to ten keywords and a Declarations section containing Ethics approval and consent to participate, Consent for publication, Availability of data and materials, Competing interests, Funding, Authors' contributions, Acknowledgements, and optional Authors' information, with 'Not applicable' used for any irrelevant declaration.
References References must follow Vancouver style. Only published or in-press articles, clinical trial registration records, abstracts, and publicly available preprints may be cited, unpublished abstracts, unpublished data, and personal communications must be excluded from the reference list, and web links or URLs must be numbered and included in the reference list in full with site title, URL, and access date.
Figures & Tables Figure titles and legends must appear in the main manuscript rather than in the graphic file, tables shorter than one page may be placed within the manuscript, and longer tables may be placed at the end with callouts in the text. Figures must be numbered in order of first mention and uploaded in that order, multi-panel figures must be submitted as a single composite file, tables must not be embedded as figures or spreadsheet files, and footnotes to tables must use superscript lower-case letters or asterisks for significance values and other statistical data.

Figures & Tables Tables shorter than one page may be placed within the manuscript, longer tables may be placed at the end of the document with in-text callouts, figure titles and legends must appear in the manuscript rather than the graphic files, and figures must be uploaded separately. Figures and tables must be numbered in sequence, multi-panel figures submitted as single composite files, tables must be created using the word processor's table function rather than embedded as figures or spreadsheets, and footnotes must not contain figures or tables.
