Conflict and Health is an invitation-only journal. Submissions are accepted by invitation from the editorial board only. The following article types are accepted:
Research
Cover Letter
A cover letter is required. Cover letter must explain why the manuscript should be published, address any journal policy issues, declare potential competing interests, confirm all authors approved the submission, confirm the manuscript has not been published or submitted elsewhere, and name the special issue if applicable.
Abstract
An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 350 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must include Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions, and Trial registration.
Manuscript
Research articles must not exceed 5000 words. Manuscript should include Background, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, and a Declarations section. Manuscript must include three to ten keywords and a Declarations section containing Ethics approval and consent to participate, Consent for publication, Availability of data and materials, Competing interests, Funding, Authors' contributions, Acknowledgements, and optional Authors' information, with 'Not applicable' used for any irrelevant declaration.
References
References must follow Vancouver style. Only published or in-press articles, clinical trial registration records, abstracts, and publicly available preprints may be cited, unpublished abstracts, unpublished data, and personal communications must be excluded from the reference list, and web links or URLs must be numbered and included in the reference list in full with site title, URL, and access date.
Figures & Tables
Figure titles and legends must appear in the main manuscript rather than in the graphic file, tables shorter than one page may be placed within the manuscript, and longer tables may be placed at the end with callouts in the text. Figures must be numbered in order of first mention and uploaded in that order, multi-panel figures must be submitted as a single composite file, tables must not be embedded as figures or spreadsheet files, and footnotes to tables must use superscript lower-case letters or asterisks for significance values and other statistical data.

Review manuscripts must include three to ten keywords and a Declarations section with the subheadings Ethics approval and consent to participate, Consent for publication, Availability of data and materials, Competing interests, Funding, Authors' contributions, and Acknowledgements, with Authors' information optional and non-applicable items marked 'Not applicable', and any use of a Large Language Model must be documented in the Methods section or another suitable section if no Methods section is available.
References
References must follow Vancouver style. Only published articles, clinical trial registration records, and published or publicly available abstracts may be cited, unpublished abstracts, unpublished data, and personal communications must not appear in the reference list, web links and URLs must be cited in the reference list with full site title, URL, and access date, and publicly available data cited in the manuscript should include a persistent identifier such as a DOI.
Figures & Tables
Tables shorter than one page may be placed within the manuscript, longer tables may be placed at the end of the document with in-text callouts, figure titles and legends must appear in the manuscript rather than the graphic files, and figures must be uploaded separately. Figures and tables must be numbered in sequence, multi-panel figures submitted as single composite files, tables must be created using the word processor's table function rather than embedded as figures or spreadsheets, and footnotes must not contain figures or tables.

References must follow Vancouver reference style. Web links and URLs must be assigned a reference number and included in the reference list in full with the site title, URL, and access date, and identifiable authors should be listed for web sources.

Figure titles and legends must appear in the main manuscript rather than in the graphic file, tables shorter than one page can be placed within the manuscript, and longer tables can be placed at the end of the document. Tables must not be embedded as figures or spreadsheet files, and footnotes must be used instead of endnotes with consecutively numbered text footnotes and no figures or tables in footnotes.
