Current Problems in Cardiology is an invitation-only monthly review journal covering important clinical topics in cardiology, including acute coronary syndromes, hypertension, cardiovascular imaging, prevention, lipid and metabolic disease, heart failure, heart transplantation, arrhythmia, and other aspects of cardiovascular disease. Each issue addresses a selected clinical problem or condition, including pathophysiology, diagnosis, drug therapy, surgical management, rehabilitation, or the clinical applications of diagnostic modalities or drug categories.

Submission Instructions

Current Problems in Cardiology is an invitation-only journal. Submissions are accepted by invitation from the editorial board only. The following article types are accepted:

Review

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Abstract is required for Review submissions. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be unstructured and concise, factual, and able to stand alone.
Manuscript Review manuscripts must be divided into clearly defined sections using headings, with acknowledgements in a separate section directly before the reference list. Review submissions must provide 1 to 7 keywords in English and must include a generative AI disclosure section before the references if such tools were used in manuscript preparation.
References All cited references must appear in the reference list and all listed references must be cited in the article, with web references including full URL and access date, data references including specified dataset details and a [dataset] tag, preprints clearly marked, and abstract citations given in full.
Figures & Tables Figures must be supplied as separate files, while tables must be submitted as editable text rather than images. All figures and tables must be cited in the text and numbered consecutively, tables must include captions, table notes must appear below the table body, and artwork captions must contain a brief title and description with AI-generated images disclosed in each caption if used.
