Original Articles

Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Aims, Methods and Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript Original Articles must not exceed 5000 words including references, figure legends, and tables. Manuscript text should be arranged as title page, abstract and keywords, introduction, methods, results, discussion, acknowledgements, references, appendices, text tables, and figure legends. A graphical abstract is required, no more than six keywords are required, and any use of AI must be explained in a Methods or Acknowledgements section in the manuscript.
References Original Articles may include a maximum of 50 references. References must use Vancouver style. References must be cited in the text with Arabic numerals in order of citation, compiled at the end of the article, and list the first six authors followed by 'et al.' when there are more than six authors.
Figures & Tables Submissions should typically have no more than eight figures and tables in total. Figures must be provided as individual image files, while tables should be included in the text file on separate pages. A legend for the required graphical abstract must be included in the Legends section and define any abbreviations.
