Original Article

Cover Letter Cover letter must be uploaded as a separate file. No specific mandatory content elements are indicated.
Abstract Structured abstract is required and must not exceed 250 words. No mandatory abstract headings are specified.
Manuscript Original Articles must be 3,500 words. Usual structure is IMRaD (Introduction, Aim, Methods, Results, Discussion).
References Reference list must be 15–around 30 references and use Vancouver style. Citations are numbered in order of appearance in square brackets; if more than six authors, list first six then et al.
Figures & Tables Maximum six illustrations (figures or tables). Tables and figure titles/notes must appear in the manuscript after first mention; tables must be created in Word, and figures uploaded separately as editable vector files (no bitmap).

Review Article

Cover Letter Cover letter is required as a separate uploaded file. Declarations for originality, author approval, and funding/competing interests must be provided in the submission system entry.
Abstract Structured abstract is required and must not exceed 250 words. Mandatory headings are not specified.
Manuscript Review Articles are usually about 4,000 words in length. Search strategy and selection criteria, inclusion/exclusion justification, and sources must be stated.
References Review Articles may contain up to 80 references, and regular articles must include at least 15 references. Vancouver style is required; cite in order of appearance with numbers in square brackets.
Figures & Tables Review Articles are limited to six illustrations (figures or tables). Tables and figure titles/notes must be placed in the manuscript directly after the first paragraph where mentioned; figure files are uploaded separately (not embedded).

Surveillance Report

Cover Letter Covering letter must be uploaded as a separate file. A scanned agreement with authors signed by the corresponding author on behalf of all authors must be uploaded.
Abstract Structured abstract is required with headings Background, Aim, Methods, Results and Conclusion. Abstract must not exceed 250 words.
Manuscript Manuscript can be up to 3,500 words and must follow IMRaD. An anonymised Word manuscript with line numbers (no author information or acknowledgements) is required.
References References must be 15–30 and use Vancouver style. Citations are numbered in order of appearance with square-bracket numbers; if more than six authors, list first six then et al.
Figures & Tables Maximum six illustrations (figures or tables). Tables must be created in Word and placed after first mention; figures are uploaded as separate editable vector files (no bitmap figures).
