Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must explain why the manuscript is suitable for publication and disclose any third-party writing or editing assistance or submission by a non-author on behalf of the authors.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 300 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 3000 words. Manuscript sections must be clearly defined and include a section headed 'Statements and Declarations' at the end of the article. At least 4 keywords must appear after the abstract, and the manuscript must include a 'Statements and Declarations' section with all required subheadings even if marked 'Not applicable'.
References Reference list must not exceed 60 references. References must follow Sage Vancouver style. Every in-text citation must have a corresponding reference list entry and vice versa, with identical spelling and year in both places.
Figures & Tables The combined total of tables and figures must not exceed 5. Figures and images must be uploaded. Figures must be numbered consecutively in the order they are cited in the text.

Original Research (Quantitative)

Manuscript must include at least 4 keywords after the abstract and include every required subheading under 'Statements and Declarations,' using 'Not applicable' when a declaration does not apply.
