Original Article

Cover Letter Cover letter is required and must be uploaded during online submission. Detailed responses to reviewers’ comments must be provided in a cover letter with revised submissions.
Abstract Abstract (semistructured Summary) is required and must not exceed 300 words. Summary must have five paragraphs: Background, Methods, Findings, Interpretation, and Funding.
Manuscript Main text limit is 3500 words (4500 for randomised controlled trial articles). A Research in context panel is required, and a data sharing statement must appear at the end of the manuscript.
References Maximum 30 references. Vancouver style: cite sequentially as superscript numbers after punctuation; list all authors if ≤6, or first 3 then et al if ≥7.
Figures & Tables Maximum 5 figures/tables/panels. Tables must be supplied as editable Word files (separate from main text), and figures must be supplied as editable files; clinical images must not use blackout bars for anonymisation.

Abstract A 150-word unstructured summary is required.
Manuscript Review Articles must be no more than 4500 words. Must include a “Search strategy and selection criteria” section.

Figures & Tables Up to six illustrations or tables are allowed. Figures and tables must be uploaded with the submission.
