Research Articles

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract A concise and factual abstract is required. The abstract should be unstructured and able to stand alone.
Manuscript Research Articles have no page limit but may be returned for shortening at the editors' discretion. Articles must be divided into clearly defined and numbered sections. Manuscripts must include highlights of 3 to 5 bullet points in a separate editable file, a maximum of 6 keywords immediately after the abstract, a competing interests statement, and an AI-use disclosure section before the references if generative AI was used in manuscript preparation.
References References in the text must be indicated by number in square brackets. References must be numbered in the order they appear in the text, and journal names should be abbreviated according to the List of Title Word Abbreviations.
Figures & Tables Each illustration must be submitted as a separate file, and all figures and tables must be uploaded with figure captions provided separately and tables including titles, descriptions, and footnotes. Figures must be numbered according to their sequence in the text, and tables must be submitted as editable text and numbered consecutively in accordance with their appearance in the text.
