Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology accepts the following article types. Click on an article type to view submission instructions.

Original Article

Cover Letter A cover letter must be provided.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured.
Manuscript Text must not exceed 3000 words, excluding the title page, abstract, and references. Manuscript file must include a title page, abstract, text, acknowledgments, references, tables, and figure legends.
References Manuscript must include no more than 40 references. References must follow the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals. References must be numbered in the order cited in the text, including table and figure legend citations numbered at the point of first mention.
Figures & Tables Manuscript must include no more than 7 tables and figures in total. Tables must be included in the Microsoft Word manuscript file, and each figure must be submitted as a separate file with legends in the text file. Tables must be created with the Microsoft Word table editor, and all units and abbreviations in tables and figures must be explicitly stated or defined.
