Infectious Disease Reports accepts the following article types. Click on an article type to view submission instructions.

Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required for Article submissions. The cover letter must explain the paper’s significance and fit to the journal, include statements confirming exclusive submission and all authors’ approval, and for expanded conference papers disclose that origin and describe what has changed from the original paper.
Abstract An abstract is required for Article manuscripts. Original research articles must have a structured abstract of around 250 words. The abstract must be structured for original research articles. Structured abstracts must use the headings Background/Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Article manuscripts must include front matter with Title, Author list, Affiliations, Abstract, and Keywords; main sections of Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, and optional Conclusions; and back matter with Supplementary Materials, Author Contributions, Funding, Data Availability Statement, Acknowledgments, Conflicts of Interest, and References. Three to ten keywords must follow the abstract, research articles with several authors must include an author contributions paragraph, and where applicable the Materials and Methods section must disclose how generative artificial intelligence was used in the paper.
References References may be in any style at initial submission if formatting is consistent throughout. References must be numbered in order of appearance, cited in square brackets before punctuation, listed individually at the end, and include author names, source title, article or chapter title where required, year, volume and issue where appropriate, pagination, and the full title.
Figures & Tables Figures, schemes, and tables must be inserted into the main text close to their first citation, and figure and scheme files must also be provided during submission in a single ZIP archive. Figures, schemes, and tables must be numbered in order of appearance and include a short explanatory title and caption, with any special characters or icons explained in the caption.

Review
