Journal of Global Antimicrobial Resistance (JGAR) is a quarterly online open access journal run by an international editorial board that focuses on the global spread of antibiotic-resistant microbes. It is an official journal of and owned by the International Society of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (ISAC), the Global Chinese Association of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (GCACMID), and the Asia-Pacific Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infection (APSCMI). The journal covers peer-reviewed research articles, reviews, short notes, hot topics, Genome Notes, and book reviews related to antimicrobial resistance, including resistance mechanisms, molecular epidemiology, diagnostics, stewardship, surveillance, and resistance in animals and the environment.

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 4000 words. Manuscript must include 3 to 6 keywords after the abstract and declarations for Ethical Approval, Funding, AI Declaration, Conflict of Interest, and GenBank accession code, with any AI-use statement placed in a new section before the references.
References References must not exceed 50. References must be numbered consecutively in parentheses in order of appearance, list all authors when there are six or fewer, and list the first six followed by 'et al.' when there are seven or more.
Figures & Tables Figures must not be imported into the text file, each illustration must be submitted as a separate file with captions supplied separately, and tables must be included as editable text. Figures and tables must be numbered consecutively in the order cited in the text, and all figures must have captions while all tables must include titles, descriptions, and footnotes.

Reviews

Cover Letter A cover letter is required for Reviews. The cover letter must explain the novelty of the review article with respect to other articles already published in the literature.

Manuscript Reviews must be no longer than 5000 words. The text must be divided into sections with suitable headings.
