Article

Cover Letter A cover letter must be included with the submission. The cover letter must explain the significance of the paper, place the findings in the context of existing work, explain fit with the journal scope, and include statements that the manuscript is not under consideration or published elsewhere and that all authors approved the manuscript and agree to submission.
Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract should be about 200 words maximum. The abstract must be a single paragraph that follows the style of a structured abstract without headings. No abstract headings are required because the abstract must be structured without headings.
Manuscript Article manuscripts should use an IMRAD structure with sections for Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, and an optional Conclusions section, with Results and Discussion allowed either combined or separate and Materials and Methods optionally placed after them. The manuscript must include Keywords and back matter sections for Supplementary Materials, Author Contributions, Funding, Data Availability Statement, Acknowledgments, Conflicts of Interest, and References, and any use of AI tools or large language models must be documented in the Methods section or another suitable section.
References References must be numbered in order of appearance, cited in square brackets before punctuation, listed individually at the end, and include the full title and standard bibliographic details.
Figures & Tables Figures, schemes, and tables must be inserted into the main text close to their first citation and cited in the main text. All figures, schemes, and tables must be numbered in order and include a short explanatory title and caption, with figure captions below and table captions above.

Scoping Review

Manuscript Scoping Review manuscripts should follow the structure of a Review, with front matter, logically organized review sections and subsections, and back matter including Author Contributions, Acknowledgments, Conflicts of Interest, and References. The manuscript must include three to ten keywords after the abstract, a statement in the Methods section that PRISMA guidelines were followed, and registration information in the Methods section if available.
References References may be in any consistent style at submission, but they must be numbered in order of appearance and listed individually at the end of the manuscript with full titles and standard bibliographic details.
