Review Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is mandatory. Cover letter must include the manuscript title, the corresponding author's contact details, a statement that all authors approve the submission, and the corresponding author's signature.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured for systematic reviews and meta-analyses and unstructured for other review types. Structured abstracts for systematic reviews and meta-analyses must use the headings Background/Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript Main text must not exceed 3000 words. Review articles must be systematic and critical assessments of literature and data sources. Manuscript must include up to 6 keywords in alphabetical order plus Conflicts of Interest, Funding/Support, and, when applicable, a Declaration of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the manuscript preparation process.
References Review articles must include 50–80 references. References must follow AMA style. References must be cited as consecutive superscript Arabic numerals in order of appearance and listed numerically in that same order.
Figures & Tables Each illustration must be uploaded as a separate file, and all tables including title, description, and footnotes must be provided with the submission. Figures and tables must be numbered consecutively in the order cited, figures must have captions supplied separately, and tables must have concise self-explanatory headings.
