Original Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must include the author's name, address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address, and it must state that all authors contributed to the paper and that the manuscript has not been submitted to other journals.
Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must not exceed 250 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript The manuscript must not exceed 4,000 words excluding tables, figures, and references. The main text should include Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion, and the article must also include Abstract, Conflicts of interest, Acknowledgments if applicable, and References. Four to six keywords must be listed alphabetically below the abstract.
References The manuscript must not exceed 40 references. References must follow the Vancouver style. References must be cited with Arabic numerals in square brackets, list all authors when there are six or fewer, use the first three authors followed by et al. when there are more than six, and abbreviate journal titles in Index Medicus style.
Figures & Tables Figures must be uploaded as separate files and not embedded in the manuscript file. Tables must be numbered consecutively in order of citation, and figures and tables must have short descriptive titles or legends as applicable.

Review Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must include the author’s name, address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address, and it must state that all authors contributed to the paper and that the manuscript has not been submitted elsewhere in whole or in part.
Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must not exceed 250 words. Unstructured.
Manuscript Review Articles must be limited to 5,000 words excluding tables, figures, and references. Review Articles must include Abstract, Introduction, brief main headings, and References. Four to six keywords must be listed alphabetically below the abstract, and the title page must include the article title, authors’ names and affiliations, ORCID identifiers, a short running title, separate word counts for abstract and text, corresponding author contact information, funding sources, and co-author contributions.
References Review Articles must be limited to 100 references. Vancouver. References must be cited with Arabic numerals in square brackets, all authors must be listed when there are six or fewer, and when there are more than six authors the first three authors should be followed by et al.
Figures & Tables Figures must be uploaded as separate files and not embedded in the manuscript file. Tables must be numbered consecutively in citation order, figures must be numbered consecutively in citation order, and figure legends must be submitted separately.

Correspondence

Manuscript Correspondence must be limited to 800 words excluding tables, figures, and references. Correspondence must include a title page, main text, conflict of interest, acknowledgments if applicable, and references.
References Correspondence must be limited to 8 references. References must be cited with Arabic numerals in square brackets, and references with six or fewer authors must list all authors while those with more than six authors must list the first three authors followed by et al.
Figures & Tables Correspondence may include a maximum of 2 figures or tables. Figures must be uploaded as separate files and not embedded in the manuscript file. Figures and tables must be numbered consecutively in the order of citation, and figure legends must be brief and specific and submitted on a separate sheet after the References section.
