Cover Letter A cover letter must be submitted. Cover letter must explain why the manuscript is suitable for publication and must disclose any third-party writing or editing assistance or submission by a non-author on behalf of the authors.
Abstract A structured abstract is required for Original Research Articles. Abstract must not exceed 300 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must include Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusion, and Registration (if applicable).
Manuscript Manuscript must be 4000-6000 words, excluding abstract, figures, tables, and references. Manuscript must include a structured abstract, introduction, well-reported methodology, results, discussion in the context of the published literature, and conclusion. Manuscript must include at least 5 keywords after the abstract, an Author Contributions section after the Acknowledgements, and a Statements and Declarations section with all required subheadings including 'Not applicable' where relevant.
References Original Research Articles may include up to 100 references. References must follow Sage Vancouver style. Every in-text citation must have a corresponding reference list entry and every reference list entry must have a corresponding in-text citation.
Figures & Tables Figures, charts, and tables created in Word should be included in the main text, while figures and other files created outside Word should be submitted separately with a placeholder note in the text. Figures must be numbered consecutively, tables must be editable within Word rather than images, and charts or visual presentations of data must be labeled as figures.
