Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must indicate why the manuscript is suitable for publication and disclose any third-party writing or editing assistance or non-author submission made on behalf of the authors.
Abstract A structured abstract is required between the title and main body of the manuscript. Abstract must be structured.
Manuscript Main manuscript should generally include an Abstract, Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments, Statements and Declarations section, and References. Include at least 5 keywords after the abstract and include a section headed 'Statements and Declarations' at the end of the article after the Acknowledgements section and Author Contributions section if applicable, with all required subheadings included and 'Not applicable' stated for any declaration that does not apply.
References References must follow AMA 11th edition style. References must be cited in consecutive numerical order using superscript Arabic numerals, every in-text citation must have a corresponding reference and vice versa, and the reference list must list all authors unless there are more than 6 authors, in which case the first 3 authors are followed by 'et al.'.
Figures & Tables Figures, charts, and tables created in Word should be included in the main text rather than at the end of the document, while figures and images must also be uploaded and placeholder notes should be added in the running text for separately submitted figures. Figures must be numbered consecutively and include a number and title, while tables must be labeled as tables and include a number, title, and a header row and/or column.
