Randomised Clinical Trials

Abstract Abstract requirements are not specified.
Manuscript The primary hypothesis should be clearly outlined and conclusions should relate mostly to this outcome, with secondary and subgroup outcomes treated as supportive or hypothesis generating. The manuscript must state the trial registration number and include a power calculation for all primary outcomes specifying the minimum clinically important effect size used to estimate the required sample size.
References References must be numbered consecutively in the order first mentioned using Arabic numerals in superscript inside the punctuation. References must be included in the main body of the manuscript, unpublished observations and personal communications should be cited only in the text, and accepted but unpublished papers should be listed as in press.
Figures & Tables Tables should appear after the text with their preferred positions marked in the manuscript, while figures must be uploaded as separate files and their legends should follow after the text in the Word document. Tables and figures must be numbered with Arabic numerals, each table must have a brief title, and explanatory material should be given in table legends and figure legends rather than on the table headings or illustrations.
