Sri Lankan Journal of Anaesthesiology is the official journal of the College of Anaesthesiologists and Intensivists of Sri Lanka. It publishes clinical investigations, research articles, audits, case reports, review articles and CME articles relating to anaesthesiology, critical care and pain. It is published bi annually in January and June.

Cost Range APC waivers apply if the corresponding author is an ordinary, honorary, or associate member of the College of Anaesthesiologists and Intensivists of Sri Lanka or a medical professional practicing in Sri Lanka. For corresponding authors from SAARC countries, the APC is USD 30 payable upon acceptance for publication. For corresponding authors from non-SAARC countries, the APC is USD 50 payable upon acceptance for publication. APC is applicable for all manuscripts submitted from 01 st November 2025.

Brief Report

Cover Letter A covering letter is required as a supplementary file. Cover letter must be signed by all authors and include author contribution percentages, full author contact details, and identification of the corresponding author if there is more than one author.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must be structured and less than 200 words. Abstract must be structured.
Manuscript Brief Report manuscript must be limited to 1000 words. Manuscript components must be ordered as title page, abstract, text, references, and tables in numerical sequence.
References References must be limited to 10. References must be numbered in the order cited in the text and indicated by numerical superscripts, listing all authors when there are 4 or fewer and the first 3 followed by et al. when there are 5 or more.
Figures & Tables Brief Reports must be limited to 3 tables or illustrations. Figures, illustrations, and tables must be placed within the text at the appropriate points rather than at the end.
