Cover Letter
A cover letter is required and must specify which files are to be considered supplementary material, with these materials clearly referred to in the main article text.
Abstract
A structured abstract is required <250 words.
Manuscript
Use an IMRaD structure with sections Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, with a maximum of 3000 words for the main body of text, excluding title page, abstract or summary, appendices, references, acknowledgements, declarations and supplementary files.
References
Reference list is limited to a maximum of 40 references; citation style is not specified.
