Journal of Pain & Palliative Care Pharmacotherapy addresses advances in acute, chronic, and end-of-life symptom management as it relates to pharmacotherapy. It publishes original research, review articles, case reports, commentaries, book and media reviews, and articles on efficacy, safety, cost-effectiveness, availability, delivery systems, ethics, policy, philosophy, and related issues in pain and symptom management. The journal also features a “Narratives in Pain” section and is affiliated with the Society of Pain and Palliative Care Pharmacists.

Manuscript The manuscript should be ordered as title page, abstract, keywords, introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, acknowledgments, declaration of interest statement, references, appendices as appropriate, tables with captions on individual pages, figures, and figure captions as a list. The manuscript should include keywords and a declaration of interest statement.
References References may be in any style or format if a consistent scholarly citation format is used. References must include author name(s), journal or book title, article or chapter title, year of publication, volume and issue where appropriate, page numbers, and a corresponding in-text citation for each entry.
Figures & Tables Figures and tables can be placed within the text or submitted as separate documents, but for this article type the manuscript order places tables with captions on individual pages followed by figures and then figure captions as a list. Tables must be supplied as editable files.
