Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required for initial submissions. The cover letter must include the manuscript title, indicate whether the submission is original or a resubmission, provide 3 to 5 short sentences highlighting the core findings, state that all authors agree with the submission, confirm that the work has not been published or submitted elsewhere in any form or language, declare reproduced figures, tables, and data, state whether word counts conform to the required limits, and include a conflict of interest statement.
Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must not exceed 250 words. The abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript The manuscript must not exceed 6,500 words excluding the abstract, references, tables, figures, and figure legends. The manuscript must include introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, and references. All submissions must disclose any use of artificial intelligence tools in manuscript preparation, and articles must include a data availability statement.
References Articles are limited to 60 references. Every reference cited in the text must also appear in the reference list.
Figures & Tables Articles are limited to a total of 8 tables and figures in the main text. Each figure and table must be supplied as an individual file. Tables must be editable, and figures must use Times New Roman lettering in non-bold 8 to 10 pt font.
