Cover Letter A cover letter must be submitted.
Abstract An abstract is required as a manuscript section.
Manuscript Original research articles must use IMRD format and include the sections Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgements, Funding Statement, Conflicts of Interest, Data Availability, Author Contributions, Abbreviations, and References, with Discussion subheadings of Principal Results, Limitations, Comparison with Prior Work, and Conclusions. Keywords and a Funding Statement must be included, and a multimedia appendix of supplementary files is optional.
References Manuscripts should follow the American Medical Association Manual of Style, 11th Edition.
