The Journal of Pediatric Emergency and Intensive Care Medicine is a double-blind, peer-reviewed periodical that has published national and international articles since 2014. It is identified as the first Turkish journal in the field of critical pediatric patients and is a publication of the Society of Pediatric Emergency and Intensive Care Medicine. The journal publishes electronically three times a year in April, August, and December, accepting manuscripts in both English and Turkish on pediatric emergency medicine, pediatric emergency health services, pediatric critical patient care, and pediatric intensive care topics.

Original Research Article
Cover Letter
A cover letter is required, briefly explaining the research, specifying the study type and submission category, indicating any prior presentation at a scientific meeting, and providing full contact details for the corresponding author.
Abstract
Separate Turkish and English abstracts are required, each structured with hypothesis/aim, methods, results, and conclusions, and each must not exceed 250 words, with 3–10 MeSH-based keywords listed below.
Manuscript
Manuscripts must follow the structure: Introduction, Material and Methods, Results, Discussion, Limitations of the study, and Conclusions, with a maximum length of 5000 words (approximately 20 double-spaced pages).
References
References must be typed double-spaced on a separate page, numbered in order of appearance (not alphabetically), list only the first five authors followed by “et al.” or “ve ark.”, and use Index Medicus journal abbreviations; no maximum reference count is indicated.
Figures & Tables
Up to 7 tables and/or figures are allowed, with each table on a separate double-spaced page after the references, all tables and figures cited and numbered in order, and figures submitted as EPS or TIF files at ≥300 dpi (color/grayscale) or 1200 dpi (line drawings).
Case Report
Cover Letter
A cover letter is required and must briefly explain the work, specify the study type and submission category, state whether it has been presented at a scientific meeting, and include the corresponding author’s full contact details.
Abstract
Case reports must include both Turkish and English abstracts, each structured to state the hypothesis/aim, methods, results, and conclusions, with a maximum of 150 words per language.
Manuscript
Case reports must include case descriptions and a discussion section, must not exceed 2000 words (approximately 8 double-spaced pages), and should follow double-spacing on A4 paper with 2 cm margins in 10‑point Arial.
References
References must be typed double-spaced on a separate page, numbered in order of appearance (Vancouver style), listing up to five authors followed by “et al.” or “ve ark.”, with journal names abbreviated per Index Medicus; limit: 15 references.
Figures & Tables
Up to three tables or pictures are allowed in total, with tables placed on separate pages after the references and figures/pictures submitted as EPS or TIF files at ≥300 dpi (color/grayscale) or 1200 dpi (line drawings), all cited and numbered in the text.
