The Journal of Critical Care Medicine is an international, quarterly, peer-reviewed journal of the George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, and Technology of Targu Mures, Romania, dedicated to high-quality research and discourse on critical care medicine across a broad spectrum of disciplines and therapeutic areas. It emphasizes novel and high-quality medical research on all aspects of diagnosis and treatment of critically ill patients, from basic to clinical and health policy research, with a particular focus on Central and Eastern Europe while welcoming international contributions. Revenue sources include authors’ fees, subscriptions, advertising, reprints, and institutional support.

Research Paper

Cover Letter The cover letter must disclose all conflicts of interest (or state 'none declared'), confirm the corresponding author is empowered to submit on behalf of all authors, and may suggest preferred or non-preferred reviewers with brief justifications.
Abstract Research papers require a structured abstract of no more than 300 words, organized into Introduction, Aim of the study, Material and Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Manuscripts must be prepared in Microsoft Word, single-column, double-spaced, using Calibri 11 pt with headings and subheadings throughout, and must not contain any personal information about the authors. The full manuscript for a research paper must not exceed 5,000 words including references, figures, and tables, and must be divided into Introduction, Materials and methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusions.
References No maximum reference count is indicated.
Figures & Tables No maximum number of figures or tables is specified.

Review Article

Manuscript Case series manuscripts must be divided into Introduction, Presentation of case series, Discussion, and Conclusions, and may list a maximum of four authors. Case series should not exceed 2,000 words.
References References must be indicated in square brackets placed before punctuation marks and are limited to a maximum of twenty references for case series.
Figures & Tables Tables must be created with Word’s Insert Table function, placed on separate pages at the end of the manuscript rather than embedded in the text, and numbered in the order of mention. A maximum of 5 figures can be included.
