It emphasizes novel and high-quality medical research on all aspects of diagnosis and treatment of critically ill patients, from basic to clinical and health policy research, with a particular focus on Central and Eastern Europe while welcoming international contributions. Cover Letter The cover letter must disclose all conflicts of interest (or state 'none declared'), confirm the corresponding author is empowered to submit on behalf of all authors, and may suggest preferred or non-preferred reviewers with brief justifications.
Abstract Research papers require a structured abstract of no more than 300 words, organized into Introduction, Aim of the study, Material and Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Manuscripts must be prepared in Microsoft Word, single-column, double-spaced, using Calibri 11 pt with headings and subheadings throughout, and must not contain any personal information about the authors. The full manuscript for a research paper must not exceed 5,000 words including references, figures, and tables, and must be divided into Introduction, Materials and methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusions.

Review Article
