Medical Microbiology and Immunology is a comprehensive journal exploring the interrelationship between infectious agents and their hosts. It covers major topics in microbial and viral pathogenesis and the immunological response to infections, publishes work from related fields including mycology and parasitology, and encompasses basic, translational and clinical research in infectious diseases and infectious disease immunology. Founded in 1886 by Robert Koch and Carl Flügge, it adopted its current name in 1971.

Abstract Abstract is required. Abstract must be 150 to 250 words. Abstract should be unstructured.
Manuscript Manuscript must be arranged as Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgement(s), References, Figure legends, and Tables. Manuscript must include 4 to 6 keywords and relevant declarations under the heading "Statements and Declarations".
References References must use numbered citations in square brackets. Reference list entries must be numbered consecutively and include only works cited in the text that have been published or accepted for publication.
Figures & Tables Figures should be submitted within the body of the text, while figure captions must be included in the manuscript text file. Tables and figures must be numbered with Arabic numerals, cited in consecutive numerical order, and each must have a caption.
