Reproductive Health is an open access journal focused on contemporary research that advances reproductive health globally, with encouragement for submissions from researchers based in low- and middle-income countries. It publishes work on reproductive health broadly, including social and gender issues, sexual health, country- and population-specific issues, assessment of service provision, education and training, and gynecological and obstetrical topics related to reproductive health.

Research

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must explain why the manuscript should be published, address any journal policy issues, declare any potential competing interests, confirm all authors approved the submission, confirm the content has not been published or submitted elsewhere, and name the special issue if applicable.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 350 words, and any additional non-English abstract must not exceed 350 words. Abstract must be structured, and an additional non-English abstract may be included after the official English abstract. Abstract must include separate Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions sections, and articles reporting health care interventions on human participants must also include a Trial registration section.
Manuscript Manuscript must include Background, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, and a Declarations section with all required subheadings. Manuscript must include three to ten keywords, a Plain English summary of no more than 250 words placed immediately after the abstract under the heading "Plain English summary," a list of abbreviations if abbreviations are used, and documentation of any Large Language Model use in the Methods section or another suitable section.
References References must follow Vancouver reference style. Only published or publicly available articles, clinical trial registration records, and abstracts may be cited, unpublished abstracts or data and personal communications must not appear in the reference list, journal abbreviations must follow Index Medicus/MEDLINE, and web links or URLs must be numbered and included in the reference list in full.
Figures & Tables Figure titles and legends must appear in the main manuscript while figures are uploaded separately, and tables shorter than one page may be placed in the manuscript whereas larger tables may be placed at the end of the document. Multi-panel figures must be submitted as single composite files, tables must not be embedded as figures or spreadsheet files, and tables must be created using the word processor's Table object function.

Review

Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must not exceed 350 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must include background, a main body of the abstract, and a short conclusion, and a systematic review registration number should be given as the last line if registered.
Manuscript The manuscript must include a Background section, a Main text section, a Conclusions section, a Plain English summary placed immediately after the abstract, and a Declarations section with all required subheadings. The manuscript must include a Plain English summary of no more than 250 words, three to ten keywords, a list of abbreviations if abbreviations are used, and Declarations subheadings that remain present with 'Not applicable' where a section is irrelevant.
References References must follow Vancouver reference style. Web links and URLs must be assigned a reference number and included in the reference list, journal abbreviations must follow Index Medicus/MEDLINE, unpublished abstracts, unpublished data, and personal communications must not appear in the reference list, and dataset identifiers including DOIs must be given as full URLs.
Figures & Tables Figure titles and legends must be provided in the main manuscript rather than in the graphic file, tables shorter than one page may be placed within the manuscript, and longer tables may be placed at the end of the document with their intended position cited in the text. Figures must be numbered in the order first mentioned and multi-panel figures submitted as a single composite file, while tables must not be embedded as figures or spreadsheet files and must be created using the word processor's table function.

Manuscript Main text should contain the body of the article and may be divided into short informative subsections, and Correspondence manuscripts must include a Declarations section with the required subheadings. Manuscript must include three to ten keywords, a list of abbreviations if abbreviations are used, and under Declarations the subheadings Ethics approval and consent to participate, Consent for publication, Availability of data and materials, Competing interests, Funding, Authors' contributions, and Acknowledgements, with 'Not applicable' used where a subsection is not relevant.
References References must use Vancouver style. Web links and URLs must be assigned a reference number and included in the reference list in full, and journal abbreviations must follow Index Medicus/MEDLINE.
