Abstract An abstract is required for Original Research articles. The abstract must be no more than 300 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript Original Research articles should be around 4000 words, but this is not a strict limit. The main text should be structured with the headings Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusion. The manuscript must include 3–10 keywords, 4–5 single-sentence key summary points using the headings "Why carry out this study?" and "What was learned from the study?", an Acknowledgements section, a limitations paragraph in the Discussion, conflict of interest disclosures under Acknowledgements, and documentation of any Large Language Model use in the Methods section or another suitable section.
References References must use the Vancouver system. References must include only works cited in the text, list all authors when there are up to six or the first three followed by et al. when there are more than six, use Arabic numerals in square brackets for in-text citations, and be ordered in the sequence cited in the text.
Figures & Tables Figures must be uploaded as separate electronic files, while tables are included in the manuscript in an editable format. Figure legends must be provided in the manuscript after the references rather than in the figure files, and tables must be numbered consecutively and include a concise title with abbreviations and footnotes given in table notes beneath the table.
