Abstract
A structured abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Background, Aims, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript
Main text should be approximately 12–20 double-spaced A4 pages at about 300 words per page, and the total word count excluding the abstract must be stated on the front page. Manuscript should include Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References. Manuscript must include 3–7 keywords and disclose any use of artificial intelligence generated content tools in the Methods or Acknowledgements section.
References
References must be numbered consecutively in order of appearance, with in-text citations given as Arabic superscript numerals.
Figures & Tables
Main text and figures should be submitted as separate files. Figures and tables must include concise, comprehensive legends that allow them to be understood without reference to the text.

Manuscript must include abstract, introduction, methods, results, and conclusions, and the title must carry the appropriate article-type prefix such as 'Systematic review: ...'. Manuscript must include 3-7 keywords, an authorship statement including author contributions and guarantor identification, a statement that all authors approved the final version including the authorship list, the CRediT taxonomy, and any AI tool use described in the Methods or Acknowledgements.

The abstract must use the headings Background, Aims, Methods, Results, and Conclusions, and include the trial register name and clinical trial registration number at the end of the abstract and the registration number at the end of the final line of the Conclusions.
Manuscript
The manuscript must contain abstract, introduction, methods, results, and conclusions, and the title must begin with the prefix 'Clinical trial:'. The manuscript must include 3–7 keywords, an Authorship Statement identifying the guarantor, specific author contributions, and approval by all authors, a CRediT contributor roles taxonomy, disclosure of any AI-generated content tool use in the Methods or Acknowledgements section, the trial registry details and registration number in the Methods section, the power of the study design, and any protocol deviations in the Methods section.
