Journal of Medical Virology is a clinical virology journal publishing original scientific papers on fundamental and applied research concerning viruses affecting humans. It welcomes reports on the characterization, diagnosis, epidemiology, immunology and pathogenesis of human viral infections and diseases, and also accepts basic studies on virus morphology, genetics, replication and host-cell interactions.

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Research Articles must include an abstract. Abstract must not exceed 200 words. Abstract must include statements of the problem, method of study, results, and conclusions.
Manuscript Text must not exceed 4,000 words. Manuscript must include Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, and Discussion. Manuscript must include three to six key words below the abstract.
References References must not exceed 50. References must be numbered consecutively in order of appearance and cited in the text using Arabic superscript numerals.
Figures & Tables There may be no more than 8 illustrations total, including figures and tables. Manuscript may include text, figures, and tables in one editable file, or figures and tables may be provided as separate files. Figures and tables must have legends.
