Original Research

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must highlight the article’s unique contribution and relevance to readers, indicate any included prior reviews and responses, describe possible duplicate or prior publication and presentations or conference proceedings, and state the reporting guideline used or give a brief rationale for not following one.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must be no more than 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Purpose, Methods, Results, and Conclusions, and reports of registered clinical trials must state the trial registry number at the end of the abstract.
Manuscript Methods section must clearly state the specific type of study, and original research reports should present context relevant to understanding the study and transporting the findings to other settings. Abstract must include at least three key words followed by a list of abbreviations, the manuscript must include acknowledgments if any and a conflict of interest statement, and use of machine learning tools to generate drafts must be disclosed in the Acknowledgments.
References References must follow AMA style. References must be numbered.
Figures & Tables Tables and figures must be placed at the end of the article file or uploaded as separate files. Each table or figure must be presented on a separate page, numbered in the order cited, and include a brief descriptive title.

Abstract must include at least three key words and a list of abbreviations, and the manuscript must disclose use of machine learning tools to generate drafts in the Acknowledgments.
References Manuscript may include up to 10 references. References must follow AMA style. References must be numbered.
Figures & Tables Manuscript may include no more than 2 tables and figures combined. Tables and figures must be placed at the end of the article file or uploaded as separate files. Each table or figure must be presented on a separate page and numbered in the order it appears in the text.
