Quarterly Medical Review Article

Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract
An abstract is optional for Quarterly Medical Review Articles. If included, the abstract must not exceed 250 words. If included, the abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript
The manuscript must not exceed 8,000 words excluding title, keywords, abstract, references, and tables. The manuscript must be divided into clearly defined and numbered sections with subsections numbered 1.1, 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.2, etc. The manuscript must include a declaration of competing interests, funding sources, keywords, and an AI disclosure statement at the end of the core manuscript before the references if generative AI or AI-assisted technologies were used in writing.
References
The manuscript must include no more than 100 references. References must be cited in the text using numbers in square brackets and listed in numerical order of appearance in the text.
Figures & Tables
The manuscript must include no more than 5 tables and/or figures in total. Each illustration must be submitted as a separate file, figure captions must be supplied separately, and tables must be submitted as editable text rather than images. All figures must include relevant captions, and all tables must include titles, descriptions, and footnotes.

Review Articles may include an abstract, but an abstract is not required. If included, the abstract must not exceed 250 words. If included, the abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript
Review Articles must not exceed 5,000 words excluding the abstract, references, tables, and figure captions. Articles must be divided into clearly defined and numbered sections with numbered subsections. The manuscript must include up to 6 keywords after the abstract, a competing interests statement, funding information, and any generative AI disclosure in a section titled 'Declaration of Generative AI and AI assisted technologies in the writing process' placed before the references, while highlights may be submitted separately if provided.
References
Review Articles must not exceed 75 references. References in the text must be cited by number in square brackets. The reference list must be numbered in the order references appear in the text, and journal names should be abbreviated according to the List of Title Word Abbreviations.
Figures & Tables
Review Articles must not exceed 5 figures, tables, or illustrations in total. Each illustration must be submitted as a separate file, figure captions must be supplied separately, and tables must be submitted as editable text rather than images. All figures must include captions, all tables must include titles, descriptions, and footnotes, and tables must be numbered consecutively according to their appearance in the text.
