Original Article

Cover Letter A cover letter must be provided. The cover letter must state that the material has not been submitted elsewhere, identify the corresponding author, and confirm that the research contains no unethical or illegal content.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. The abstract structure type is not explicitly stated. No mandatory abstract headings are explicitly stated.
Manuscript Original Articles should be no more than 5000 words. Original Articles must include title, abstract and keywords, text with introduction, materials and methods, results, and discussion, author contributions, competing interests, acknowledgments, supplementary information, references, and tables and/or figures with captions. The manuscript must include 3–10 keywords, a 40-word Take Home Message, author contribution statements, and a competing interests declaration.
References References must be cited by superscript numbers and listed consecutively in order of first appearance, listing all authors if there are up to five and the first five followed by et al. if there are more than five.
Figures & Tables Original Articles should not normally include more than six display items consisting of tables and/or figures. Figures should be submitted as separate files, while tables must be submitted at the end of the article in editable Word or Excel format. Tables must be labeled sequentially and not as sub-tables, and figure and table captions must be provided together with captions listed one after the other.

Review

Cover Letter A cover letter must be provided. Cover letter must state that the material is not under consideration elsewhere and must give the corresponding author's name, full postal address, and email address.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words.
Manuscript Review manuscripts must not exceed 6000 words excluding references. Manuscript should contain, in order, title, authors and addresses, running title, abstract, keywords, main text, author contributions, competing interests, acknowledgments, references, table and figure captions, tables, and figures. Manuscript must include a running title of no more than 50 characters, 3–10 keywords below the abstract, author contributions, competing interests, and a 40-word Take Home Message.
References Reviews may include a maximum of 100 references. References must be cited by superscript numbers and listed in order of appearance, with up to five authors named in full and additional authors truncated after the first five with et al.
Figures & Tables Figures must be submitted as separate files, and tables must be submitted at the end of the article in editable Word or Excel format. All figures and tables must be cited in order, tables labeled sequentially without sub-tables, and table and figure captions listed consecutively.

Clinician’s Workshop

Cover Letter A cover letter must be provided. Cover letter must identify the corresponding author's name, full postal address, and email address and confirm that the manuscript is not under simultaneous submission and contains no unethical or illegal content.
Abstract A brief summary is required. The summary must be no more than 100 words. The summary is described as a brief summary, and no structured format is specified.
Manuscript The manuscript must contain no more than 1500 words. The article should include title, author names and addresses, running title, summary, keywords, main text, author contributions, competing interests, acknowledgments, references, table and figure captions, tables, and figures, with the main text normally divided by short headings. The manuscript must include 3–10 keywords, a 40-word Take Home Message, author contributions, and competing interests.
References The article may include no more than 20 references. References must be cited by superscript numbers in consecutively numbered order. List references in order of appearance, give all authors when there are up to five and the first five followed by et al. when there are more than five, and abbreviate journal names according to the International List of Periodical Title Word Abbreviations.
Figures & Tables The article may include a maximum of 3 tables or figures. Figures should be submitted as separate files, and tables must be submitted at the end of the article in editable Word or Excel format. All figures and tables must be cited in order, tables must be labeled sequentially, and figure and table captions should be listed together rather than placed beneath each item.
