Original Articles

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Original Articles must include a structured abstract. Abstract must not exceed 250 words including spaces. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must be organized into Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusion sections.
Manuscript Original Articles must not exceed 4,000 words excluding references, tables, and figures. Manuscript must be organized under the headings Title page, Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Disclosure, Acknowledgements, and References. Manuscript must include 6 keywords, a disclosure statement under the heading "Disclosure" after the Discussion or last section and before the References, an AI declaration at the end of the manuscript before the references if AI was used in manuscript preparation, and a Data sharing statement at the end of the manuscript.
References References must use AMA style. References must be listed in order of appearance and cited in the text with consecutive superscript Arabic numerals, listing no more than 3 authors before adding "et al." for 4 or more authors.
Figures & Tables Figures must be uploaded as separate files and excluded from the manuscript text, while tables must be placed on separate pages in the same file as the main paper at the end of the manuscript. Tables must be submitted as editable Microsoft Word text rather than images, and all microscopy figures must contain scale bars defined in the legends.
