Original Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must summarize the key message of the manuscript, confirm that the paper has not been submitted elsewhere, and outline the reporting guidelines followed for the health research.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 300 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must be subdivided into Objectives, Subjects/patients (or materials) and methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript Manuscript must be no more than 4000 words. Text must be subdivided into Introduction, Subjects/patients (or materials) and methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgements, and References. Manuscript must include 5–10 key words and include figures and tables with their legends.
References References must not exceed 30. References must conform to Vancouver style. In-text citations must be numbered consecutively in order of appearance using Arabic numerals in parentheses, with all authors listed for references with six or fewer authors and the first three followed by et al. for references with more than six authors.
Figures & Tables Original Articles may include up to 3 figures and up to 3 tables. Figures must be supplied as separate image files, and tables and figures must be cited in the text. Primary results should be presented graphically if possible, Table 1 should describe the study population or manuscripts included in a meta-analysis, and Table 2 should describe the primary outcome numerically including appropriate confidence intervals and P values.

Manuscript The manuscript should be approximately 2000–4000 words long. The manuscript must include a box highlighting the five key references that were reviewed.
References The manuscript may include up to 50 references. References must conform to Vancouver style. References must be numbered consecutively in the text using Arabic numerals in parentheses, list all authors when there are six or fewer, and list the first three authors followed by et al. when there are more than six.
Figures & Tables The manuscript may include a maximum of 6 figures or tables in total.

In-text citations must be numbered consecutively in order of appearance using Arabic numerals in parentheses, with all authors listed for references with six or fewer authors and the first three followed by et al. for references with more than six authors.

References must be numbered consecutively in the text in order of appearance using Arabic numerals in parentheses, list all authors when there are six or fewer, and list the first three authors followed by et al. when there are more than six.
Figures & Tables Research Letters may include one figure or one small table.
