Biological Psychiatry: Global Open Science is an official journal of the Society of Biological Psychiatry and part of the Biological Psychiatry family of journals. It is an open-access, peer-reviewed, rapid-publication, international journal that publishes basic, translational, and clinical research relevant to the pathophysiology and treatment of major psychiatric disorders, including original research, reviews, meta-analyses, commentaries, and pre-registered reports.

Abstract
An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Structured. Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions.
Manuscript
Main body text must not exceed 4000 words. Main text must be structured as Introduction, Methods and Materials, Results, Discussion.
References
References have no limit. References must be numbered and listed in order of appearance in the text.
Figures & Tables
Tables and figures have no limit. Tables must be supplied in an editable format, and each figure must be supplied as an individual file. Tables and figures must be cited in the text, tables numbered consecutively in order of mention, and figure and table legends must include a brief title and legend for each.

Manuscript
Manuscripts must include a title page, abstract, main article text, acknowledgments, disclosures, references, footnotes, and table and figure legends. Full article titles must be 200 characters or less and must not contain acronyms or abbreviations.
References
References must be numbered and listed in order of appearance in the text, and references in tables and figures must also be numbered.
Figures & Tables
Tables and figures must be cited in the text, with each figure supplied as an individual file and tables supplied in an editable format. Figure and table legends must include a brief title and legend, figures should preferably be TIFF, PDF, PPT, or EPS with JPEG acceptable, line art figures must have 1000 dpi resolution or be vector images, figures must use a standard typeface consistently, and images must represent the original data and be minimally processed.
