BMC Endocrine Disorders is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that considers articles on the characterization, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of endocrine disorders. It welcomes clinical, basic and translational science studies that provide insights into the pathophysiology, molecular and cell biology, genetics, pharmacology, or epidemiology of endocrine disorders, as well as articles on surgical advancements and new technologies aiding diagnosis, monitoring and computational modelling of endocrine disorders.

Research Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must explain why the manuscript should be published, address any journal policy issues, declare potential competing interests, confirm all authors approved submission, confirm the work has not been published or submitted elsewhere, and name any special issue if applicable.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 350 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must include the headings Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions, and articles reporting health care interventions on human participants must also include a Trial registration section.
Manuscript Manuscript must include a title page and a Declarations section containing the subheadings Ethics approval and consent to participate, Consent for publication, Availability of data and materials, Competing interests, Funding, Authors' contributions, Acknowledgements, and Authors' information, with 'Not applicable' used where a section is irrelevant. Manuscript must include three to ten keywords, a list of abbreviations if abbreviations are used, an Availability of data and materials statement, a Competing interests section, and disclosure of any large language model use in the Methods section or a suitable alternative part.
References References must follow Vancouver reference style. Only published or in-press articles, clinical trial registration records, abstracts, and publicly available e-prints or preprints may be cited; unpublished abstracts, unpublished data, and personal communications must not appear in the reference list; journal abbreviations must follow Index Medicus/MEDLINE; and URLs must be included as numbered references in full.
Figures & Tables Figure titles and legends must be provided in the main manuscript, figures must be uploaded separately in citation order, tables shorter than one page may be embedded in the manuscript, and longer tables may be placed at the end of the document. If gels or blots are cropped, the cropping must be evident and noted in the figure legend, corresponding uncropped full-length images must be provided together in a single supplementary figure labelled consistently with the main text, and figure legends must state that the full-length blots or gels appear in a supplementary figure.

The manuscript must include three to ten keywords, an Availability of data and materials statement, declarations for competing interests and funding, an Authors' contributions section, an Acknowledgements section, and disclosure of any large language model use in the Methods section or another suitable part of the manuscript.
References References must follow Vancouver style. References must not be cited in the abstract, only published or publicly available items may be cited, unpublished abstracts/data/personal communications must be excluded from the reference list, journal abbreviations must follow Index Medicus/MEDLINE, and URLs must appear in full in the reference list with the site title and access date.
