Cancer Letters is an international journal providing a forum for original and pertinent contributions in cancer research. It considers full-length articles and Mini Reviews in the broad area of basic and translational oncology, with special issues highlighting topical areas in cancer research. Areas of interest include molecular genetics and cell biology of cancer, radiation biology, molecular pathology, hormones and cancer, viral oncology, metastasis, chemoprevention, and experimental therapeutics including targeted therapies for personalized cancer medicine.

Original Research Articles

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Abstract must not exceed 250 words.
Manuscript Original Research Articles should be between 3000 and 3500 words. Manuscripts should be divided into clearly defined sections using headings. Manuscripts must include 1 to 7 English keywords, provide 3 to 5 article highlights as a separate editable file, complete the declarations document, and add a generative AI statement in a new section before the references if AI was used in manuscript preparation.
References References may be submitted in any citation style or format as long as the style is consistent. References must include author names, source title, article or chapter title, year, and volume, article number, or page range where applicable, and every in-text citation must appear in the reference list and vice versa.
Figures & Tables Figures must be uploaded as separate files, while tables must be submitted as editable text. All figures and tables must be cited in the text, numbered consecutively in order of appearance, and provided with captions.
