Original Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must provide the corresponding author’s address, telephone and fax numbers, and email address, and state any conflicts of interest of all listed authors, if any.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. Abstract must be less than 300 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 3,500 words excluding the title page and abstract. Manuscript must be organized under the headings Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, and Discussion. Manuscript must include 3 to 5 short highlights on or next to the title page, each less than 100 words including spaces, and up to 10 keywords at the bottom of the abstract selected using MeSH.
References References must not exceed 50, except for systematic review or meta-analysis. References must follow NLM format. References must be cited with Arabic numerals in brackets in order of appearance, listed in the same order, and list all authors up to six or the first six followed by et al. for more than six.
Figures & Tables Figures must not exceed a total of 10 images. Figure legends must be provided in a separate section after the references within the manuscript document. Tables and figures must be cited in numeric order in the text, and figure legends must not exceed 100 words per figure.

Review Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must provide the corresponding author's address, telephone and fax numbers, and email address, and include statements that the material has not been published previously, will not be submitted elsewhere, and any conflicts of interest of all listed authors.
Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must be no more than 200 words. The abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript The manuscript must not exceed 4,500 words. Review Articles must be organized as title page, abstract and keywords, highlights, main text, acknowledgments, ORCIDs, author contributions, references, tables, figure legends, and figures. The manuscript must include 3–5 short highlights next to the title page, each under 90 characters including spaces, and include keywords.
References References must follow NLM format. References must be cited with Arabic numerals in brackets in the order cited, listed in order of appearance, with all authors named when there are up to six and the first six followed by et al. when there are more than six.
Figures & Tables Figure legends must be placed within the manuscript in a separate section after the references, and Review Articles must include tables, figure legends, and figures in that order at the end. Tables and figures must be cited in the text in numeric order using Arabic numerals.

Correspondence

Abstract Abstract is required. Abstract must be within 300 words. Abstract must be structured.

Manuscript must be arranged in the sequence of title page, abstract and keywords, text, acknowledgments, references, tables, and figure legends. Manuscript must include 3–5 short highlights next to the title page, each under 90 characters including spaces.
References References must follow NLM format. References must be cited with Arabic numerals in brackets in order of citation and listed in the references section in order of appearance, listing all authors up to six and the first six followed by et al. when there are more than six.

References References must not exceed 20. References must follow NLM format. References must be cited with Arabic numerals in brackets in order of citation, listed in the same order, list all authors when there are up to six and the first six followed by et al. when there are more than six, and unpublished data or personal communications are not allowed as references.
Figures & Tables Figures and tables must not exceed a combined total of 2. Figure legends must appear within the manuscript in a separate section after the references. All tables and figures must be cited in numeric order in the text, and figure legends must not exceed 100 words per figure.
