Original Manuscripts

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must describe each author's contribution, and for multi-institutional manuscripts with seven or more authors it must specify how each author individually and significantly contributed to the research or manuscript development.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. The abstract must not exceed 250 words. The abstract must be structured in four separate paragraphs. The abstract must include Purpose of the Report, Materials and Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript The manuscript may be up to eighteen printed pages or 4500 words including images. The manuscript must consist of a title page, abstract, full text, references, legends for illustrations, and illustrations. The manuscript must include three to six keywords after the abstract.
References The manuscript must include at least 8 references. References must be cited in numerical order in parentheses and formatted with up to three authors followed by et al., full page ranges, no issue numbers, and proper journal abbreviations.
Figures & Tables Tables and figures must not be embedded in the manuscript text, each table must be submitted as a separate editable file, each figure must be submitted as a separate file, and figure legends must appear in the main manuscript text rather than with the figures. Tables must be cited consecutively in the text and numbered in that order, and figures must be cited consecutively with figure parts labeled in the left upper corner using sequential capital letters.

Review Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must describe the contribution of each author, and multi-institutional manuscripts with seven or more authors must explain how each author individually and significantly contributed to the work.
Abstract An abstract is required.
Manuscript Manuscript may be up to fifteen printed pages or 3750 words, including images. Review Articles must be prepared in the same manner as Original Manuscripts. Three to six keywords must appear after the abstract.
References References may include up to 75 entries. References must conform to the journal format.
Figures & Tables Figures & Tables requirements are not specified.

Interesting Images

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must describe each author's contribution, and manuscripts with seven or more authors from multiple institutions must explain how each author individually and significantly contributed.
Abstract An unstructured abstract is required for Interesting Images, although atlas-type submissions and limited pilot studies may include a 100-word abstract. The abstract must be no more than 100 words. The abstract must be unstructured. No mandatory abstract headings are specified.
Manuscript No manuscript text is required, and the legends must contain no more than 500 words total. No manuscript text is required for Interesting Images. Interesting Images must include three to six keywords after the abstract, and reference citations must appear in the legends rather than in the abstract.
References Typical Interesting Images should have at least 8 references. References must conform to journal format, and citations must appear in the legends rather than in the abstract.
Figures & Tables The number of images is left to the author's discretion, and limited pilot studies may include limited tables. Legends should be prepared in considerable detail, and image preparation should follow the same instructions as for Original Manuscripts.

Letter To The Editor

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must describe each author's contribution, and manuscripts with seven or more authors from multiple institutions must explain how each author individually and significantly contributed to the work.
Abstract Abstract requirements are not specified.
Manuscript Letter to the Editor should present objective and constructive criticism of published articles and may also discuss matters of general clinical nuclear medicine interest. A complete blinded title page must be included.
References References must conform to journal format.
Figures & Tables Images may be included and figures must be clearly labeled, properly cropped, and generally prepared in high-quality grayscale unless sponsored for color print publication.
