Original Research Articles

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must be 250 words. The abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript The manuscript must be no more than 6,000 words inclusive of the abstract, tables, references, figure or table captions, and footnotes. The manuscript must be ordered as title page, abstract, keywords, introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, acknowledgments, declaration of interest statement, references, appendices as appropriate, tables with captions on individual pages, figures, and figure captions as a list. The manuscript must include 5 to 8 keywords and a declaration of interest statement.
References The manuscript must cite no more than 60 references. References must use NLM style.
Figures & Tables The manuscript must contain no more than 8 display items. Figures must be saved separately from the text. Tables must be supplied as editable files.

Review Articles must include 5 to 8 keywords and may be structured using short topical headings.
References Review Articles must cite no more than 80 references. References must use NLM style.
