Journal of Inflammation is an open access peer reviewed journal covering the full spectrum of inflammation, including molecular, cellular, animal and clinical studies and related pharmacology such as anti-inflammatory drug development, trials and therapeutic developments. It is affiliated with the British Inflammation Research Association and aims to highlight new ideas for future generations of anti-inflammatory therapies.

Journal Of Inflammation-london is an invitation-only journal. Submissions are accepted by invitation from the editorial board only. The following article types are accepted:

Research

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must explain why the manuscript should be published, address any issues relating to journal policies, declare any potential competing interests, confirm that all authors approved submission, confirm the work has not been published or submitted elsewhere, and name any special issue if applicable.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 350 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must include the headings Background, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Manuscript must include Background, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, and a Declarations section with all required subheadings. Manuscript must include three to ten keywords, an Availability of data and materials statement, a Competing interests section, an Authors' contributions section, an Acknowledgements section, and AI use must be documented in the Methods section or another suitable section if no Methods section is available.
References References must follow Vancouver style. Web links and URLs must be cited with a reference number in the reference list, provided in full with site title, URL, and access date, unpublished abstracts/data/personal communications must be excluded, and journal abbreviations must follow Index Medicus/MEDLINE.
Figures & Tables Tables shorter than one page may be placed within the manuscript, longer tables may be placed at the end with in-text callouts, and figure titles and legends must appear in the main manuscript rather than in the image files. Figures and tables must be numbered in citation order, multi-panel figures must be submitted as a single composite file, tables must not be embedded as figures or spreadsheets, and figure legends and table legends must not exceed 300 words.

Manuscript Manuscript must include a title page with the title, author names and institutional addresses, corresponding author, and if applicable the study design and collaboration group title, and it must include a Declarations section with the required subheadings even when marked 'Not applicable'. Manuscript must include three to ten keywords, a list of abbreviations if abbreviations are used, an Availability of data and materials statement, competing interests, funding, authors' contributions, acknowledgements, applicable ethics and consent statements, and documentation of any Large Language Model use in the Methods or another suitable section.
References References must follow Vancouver style. Only published or in-press articles, trial registration records, abstracts, and public preprints may be cited; unpublished abstracts, unpublished data, and personal communications must not appear in the reference list; web links must be cited as numbered references with full site title, URL, and access date; and publicly available datasets should be cited with a persistent identifier such as a DOI.
Figures & Tables Tables under one page may be placed within the manuscript, larger tables may be placed at the end of the text with placement indicated in the text, and figure titles and legends must be provided in the main manuscript while figures are uploaded separately. Figures and tables must be numbered in the order cited, multi-panel figures must be submitted as a single composite file, tables must be created with the word processor's table function rather than embedded as figures or spreadsheets, and footnotes must be used instead of endnotes with table footnotes indicated by superscript lower-case letters or asterisks for significance values.
