Research

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must explain why the manuscript should be published in Nutrition Journal, disclose any journal policy issues and competing interests, confirm all authors have approved submission, confirm the manuscript has not been published or submitted elsewhere, and include the specific special issue name if applicable.
Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must not exceed 350 words. Unstructured. For clinical trial reports, the trial registration number and date of registration must be included as the last line of the abstract.
Manuscript The manuscript must include Background, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, Competing interests, Availability of data and materials, Declarations, Authors' contributions, and Acknowledgements sections. The title page should include the study design if appropriate, the manuscript must include three to ten keywords, and use of a Large Language Model must be documented in the Methods or an alternative section.
References Vancouver style. References must be numbered in the order cited, use Index Medicus/MEDLINE journal abbreviations, include only eligible published or in-press sources, and list publicly available datasets with accession numbers or DOIs.
Figures & Tables Figures and tables may be embedded or uploaded separately as permitted by their specific rules, and any reporting checklist or flow diagram must be provided as an additional file with the flow diagram included in the main text if available. Figure and table titles and legends are limited to 15 words and 300 words respectively, and figures and tables must follow the journal's sequencing and file-format requirements.
