Environmental Geochemistry and Health is a cross-disciplinary journal that publishes innovative research linking health and the environment. It publishes original research, short communications, and reviews across the broad field of environmental geochemistry and its link to health aspects, including papers directly linking health and the environment that may be theoretical, interpretative, or experimental, as well as surveys of soil, water, and plants showing how major and trace elements are distributed geographically.

Original Research Articles

Cover Letter The corresponding author must mention any unpublished material and provide transparency on material re-use.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must be 150 to 250 words. Unstructured.
Manuscript The manuscript must include a separate section entitled 'Statements and Declarations' after the References section, and Original Research Articles must include a Data Availability Statement. The manuscript must include a disclosure statement, a Funding statement, a Competing Interests statement, and an Author Contributions statement, and must document any use of a large language model in the Methods section or a suitable alternative section.
References Harvard author-date style. References must be cited in text by name and year in parentheses, listed alphabetically by first author surname, and include only works cited in the text that have been published or accepted for publication.
Figures & Tables Figures should be submitted within the body of the text, while large figures may be submitted separately if manuscript file size causes upload problems. Tables must be numbered with Arabic numerals and cited in order, and figures must be numbered with Arabic numerals, cited in order, and have concise captions beginning with bold Fig. and the figure number.
