Environmental Pollutants & Bioavailability is an open access journal that publishes research on the occurrence, distribution, transport, transformation, transfer, fate, and effects of environmental pollutants and their impact on living organisms. Its scope includes heavy metals, persistent organic pollutants, emerging contaminants, pharmaceuticals, personal-care products, and related methods, media, mobility, mechanisms, matters, and models relevant to pollutant speciation, bioavailability, bioaccumulation, and toxicity.

Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must be 100 words. Abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 7000 words inclusive of tables and figure or table captions. Manuscript must be ordered as title page, abstract, keywords, introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, acknowledgments, declaration of interest statement, references, appendices as appropriate, tables with captions on individual pages, figures, and figure captions as a list. Manuscript must include 4 to 8 keywords, a disclosure statement under the subheading “Disclosure of interest,” a statement disclosing whether and how generative AI was used in the research and manuscript preparation process, and a short biographical note for each author of no more than 200 words.
References References may be in any consistent scholarly citation style or format. Bibliographic entries must include author name(s), journal or book title, article or chapter title, year of publication, volume and issue where appropriate, page numbers, and a corresponding in-text citation.
Figures & Tables Tables with captions must appear on individual pages and figures with figure captions listed separately must be included in the manuscript order, although figures and tables may also be placed within the text or submitted as separate documents. Tables must be editable and figures must be relevant and valuable to the work reported.

Figures & Tables Tables and figures may be placed within the text or submitted as separate documents, but the manuscript order specifies tables with captions on individual pages followed by figures and then a list of figure captions. Tables must be supplied as editable files and should present new, self-explanatory information rather than duplicating the text.
