General Reviews

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract An unstructured Summary is required for General Reviews. The Summary must be no more than 250 words. The Summary must be unstructured.
Manuscript The main text is limited to 4000 words excluding the Summary and References, and each figure and/or table counts as 200 words toward this total. General Reviews are generally divided into Summary, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements, Conflict of interest statement, Funding statement, and References, with Results and Discussion optionally combined. A declaration of generative AI use in manuscript preparation must appear in a new section before the references list when applicable.
References References must be cited in numerical order in square brackets in the text and listed in the same numerical order in the reference list, with journal names abbreviated according to the List of Title Word Abbreviations.
Figures & Tables Each illustration must be submitted as a separate file, figure captions must be supplied separately, and each table must be placed on a separate sheet after the references. Tables must be submitted as editable text rather than images and numbered consecutively in Roman numerals, while figures must be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals.
