Gastrointestinal Endoscopy is the official journal of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and publishes original, peer-reviewed articles on endoscopic procedures used in the study, diagnosis, and treatment of digestive diseases. The journal covers outcomes research, prospective studies, controlled trials of new endoscopic instruments and treatment methods, and broader topics relevant to the gastroenterology and hepatology community where endoscopy may play a role, including inflammatory bowel disease, functional GI diseases, and obesity.

Abstract A structured abstract is required for Original Articles. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Background and Aims, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Original Articles are limited to 3500 words. Manuscript should be divided into clearly defined sections and include essential elements such as Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, and Conclusions. Manuscript must include 3 to 5 keywords and, if generative AI or AI-assisted technologies were used in writing, a section titled 'Declaration of Generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process' before the references.
References References must follow Vancouver style. References must be cited in the text in consecutive order using superscript numbers and listed in numeric sequence at the end of the article.
Figures & Tables Tables must be placed at the end of the text Word document, and figure legends must be placed at the end of the Word text file rather than on the figures. Each illustration must have a caption, tables must be Word documents, and all tables and figures must be cited in the text in consecutive order.
