Infectious Agents and Cancer is an open access journal dedicated to publishing novel insights on the associations between chronic infections and cancer. The journal focuses on basic, clinical, epidemiological and translational research related to cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and palliative care, with particular interest in molecular research in cancer causation. It is affiliated with the African Organisation for Research & Training In Cancer and is overseen by an international editorial board.

Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 350 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must include the headings Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions, and reports of health care interventions on human participants must also include a Trial registration section.
Manuscript Manuscript must include Background, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, and a Declarations section. Manuscript must include 3 to 10 keywords, a Declarations section with the headings Ethics approval and consent to participate, Consent for publication, Availability of data and materials, Competing interests, Funding, Authors' contributions, Acknowledgements, and optional Authors' information, with nonapplicable sections retained and marked 'Not applicable,' and any use of a Large Language Model documented in the Methods section or suitable alternative section.
