Infektsiya I Immunitet

Russian Journal of Infection and Immunity (Infektsiya i immunitet) is a quarterly peer-reviewed journal established by the Northwest Branch of RAMS, the St. Petersburg Pasteur Institute, and the St. Petersburg branch of the Russian Association of Allergologists and Clinical Immunologists, with participation from the St. Petersburg branch of the All-Russian Practical Society of epidemiologists, microbiologists and parasitologists. The journal covers interactions between microorganisms and the host organism, including pathogenic bacteria, fungi and parasites, mechanisms of pathogenicity, host protection from infection, immunity, experimental infectious disease models, and vaccine development, and publishes articles, reviews, lectures, short communications, and case studies.

Original Article

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract An abstract file is required. Abstract must contain a minimum of 300 words. Abstract must be unstructured and presented as a single paragraph without references or specific acronyms.
Manuscript Original Article manuscripts must not exceed 20 typeset pages including figures, tables and references. Original Article manuscripts must include the sections Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussions, and Acknowledgements. Title page must include at least 6 keywords in Russian and English.
References References must be cited with Arabic numerals in square brackets, list all authors, exclude unpublished works, theses, synopses of theses, paper collections, and local guidance documents, and be arranged alphabetically with Russian-language references first and Latin-script references afterward.
Figures & Tables Articles must contain no more than 8 illustrations including tables and figures. Each figure and each table must be submitted in separate files, with figure numbers, titles, and comments provided in a separate file. Tables must be numbered independently of figures in Arabic numerals with titles above them, and figure and table titles must be placed in the text immediately after the paragraph of first citation.

Manuscript Brief Communications must be limited to 8 typeset pages. Brief Communications must follow the Original Article organization but without subheadings, and Results may be included within the Discussion section. Title page must follow the specified organization and include at least 6 keywords in Russian and English.
References Brief Communications references must be limited to 15. References must be cited in Arabic numerals in square brackets, list all authors, exclude theses, local guidance documents, unpublished works, and be arranged alphabetically with Russian-language references first followed by references in Latin script languages.
Figures & Tables Brief Communications may include no more than 3 figures and/or tables. Each figure and each table must be submitted in a separate file, and figure and table titles must appear in the text immediately after the paragraph of first citation. Tables must be numbered independently of figures in Arabic numerals and use asterisks for footnotes, while figure captions must be provided in a separate file with the figure number, title, and note text.
