Major Articles

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Abstract is required and must be provided as the second page of the manuscript. Abstract must be no more than 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Major Articles must not exceed 3500 words. Manuscript must include a Methods section detailed enough to allow readers to repeat the study without referring to supplementary material. Title page must include a 40-word summary of the article’s main point.
References Major Articles are limited to 40 references. References must be numbered consecutively as they appear in the text, with the numbers in brackets on the text line.
Figures & Tables Major Articles are limited to 7 figures and tables combined. Tables must be on separate pages. Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively by appearance, each table must have a legend or title, and each figure must have a legend.

Brief Reports

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Brief Reports must include an abstract. The abstract must be unstructured and must not exceed 100 words. The abstract must be unstructured.
