Abstract A structured abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Background and Purpose, Methods, Results, and Discussion and Conclusions.
Manuscript Manuscript must be no longer than 3,500 words excluding the abstract, figure legends, and references. Manuscript must be divided into Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusions, and the Discussion must include a study limitations section typically in its last paragraph. Any use of Artificial Intelligence tools in producing images or graphical elements or in collecting and analyzing data must be disclosed in the Materials and Methods or similar section, including how the tool was used and which tool was used.
References References must follow AMA style. References must be cited by superscript numbers in consecutive order with the number following punctuation, and the reference list must be double-spaced, numerical, and limited to cited sources.
Figures & Tables Tables must be placed on separate pages at the end of the manuscript text document, figures should not be inserted into the text file, and the manuscript must indicate the approximate location of each table and figure. Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively in the order of citation, each table must have a brief title, and tables must follow AMA style.
